Halo: Reach

Just as I had said all the way back in January, I will rarely make a post about games & the next time I will make a post about games will probably be when Halo: Reach comes out. Of course, I was right.

I pre-ordered the regular edition over at Amazon. I chose release-date shipping and it cost only 99 cents. So overall only $60 USD in total. I actually wanted the limited edition but my budget is tight so…yeah..

Front cover & close-up of the Noble Team, excluding the new member, Noble 6 (S-312). From left to right: Jorge (S-052), Carter (S-259), Emile (S-239), Kat (S-320), & Jun (S-266).

I had played in the Beta and I knew what I was going to get and I was very excited. At the current time of writing of still haven’t finished campaign yet but I can already tell that Reach will be a great story.

Back cover and close-up. Just some backstory and screenshots. Then filled with all the other junk at the bottom.

Opening the box, you get a manual and a game…but wait, there’s more!

Codes for 2 free days of xbox live and a limited Recon helmet. Not really a big deal but it’s appreciated.

So far, Reach is awesome. It’s pretty much just about everything a Halo fan could ever want. Not much else to say, head over to Bungie.net to check out the game, updates and other cool stuff. Gamertag is Flawless Blades if anyone wants to join in. Just make sure you tell me who you are.

I’ve seen the trailer n demo in youtube. seems a good game…

but I won’t buy it just because Halo 3 didn’t meet my expectation…

Seems like a good game? No, it IS a great game. Personally, I liked Halo 3 (as with every Halo game by Bungie), and I don’t know your tastes but I can’t possibly imagine anyone wanting to play anything else but Reach right now.

I am loving the campaign to bits, the story is more intense and awesome (though Halo 3 had a bit of intense scenes as well).

Multiplayer-wise, it’s great, but even better if you had friends to play with instead of just random strangers. Feel me to hit me up if you ever get Reach. ;)

Maybe I’m more to 3rd person than 1st, just like I really love Gears of War series.

and also the real war-alike for 1st person, just like I like Call of Duty series and Frontlines better than high-tech like Halo.

1st person seems better in terms of actually shooting things as 1/3 of the screen isn’t blocked, and aiming is easier (especially grenades). 3rd person has greater field of vision, so it makes for some great action moments.

It isn’t all about the gameplay for me, I don’t really like GoW because…well, I think that the people are ugly. Add a helmet on then I will think that the game is much better.

I don’t like CoD either because….I just can’t play it well. It’s a nice game, but ultimately the story drives everything. Figuring out CoD’s story is like reading a history book..

yep, the only drawback for me is the ugly for the characters… but looking at the backstory for them, I think it seems all right.

not like I have to play an ugly daddy in action-game Nier (from squareenix)… I’d prefer your friendly-neighborhood Spiderman in 4 dimension (Spiderman: Shattered Dimension).

and for CODModernWarfare2, I can’t play it well either, it’s easy to die even in normal difficulty…

      Maybe I just like high-tech. ^ ^;
      (Especially armors.)
