My Experience being in Japan for 3 Months

From March 28th to June 20th, I spent my time in Japan for the first time ever. This was all because of my university’s study abroad program for Kyoto, and I chose to go as early as my freshmen year. For those who do not know, I have had the goal of working in Japan and living my life there. But of course, I had never actually been to Japan before, and I wanted to confirm that I do indeed want to chase that goal.

Well, I think you should stay in the states. Here’s why. You still have connections with many people here, and having friends is really important. If you live in Japan, you won’t have a great time without them. Plus, without friends, you’ll become depressed, which isn’t healthy. I understand that one of the great things in Japan is having all of the exclusive goods, but you have the option of using Mandarake & other sites as well. Besides, if you live in the states, you can still buy figures and such online, and maybe take a vacation to Japan with your friends every once and a while. Hope this helped!

Haha, yeah. You and a few friends said the same thing. Even I knew that, which was what I meant by “Even though the answer seems to be apparent, I cannot be content with it” in the final sentence of the page.

Whichever path I choose, it seems that I will be unhappy in someway, so I have decided not to worry about it for now. I seek a happy ending, new pieces of the puzzle will come to me slowly. ^^

I think you should stay where you are.
Just live in the States with friends as you won’t feel lonely.
Sure you can argue Japan is a cool place to live in, but what’s the point when you don’t have anyone to talk to or to just be with.
As I would say, everything is a lot more fun when you have friends that you know and could hang out with.
There is always other chances in the future to go to Japan for a small trip but next time with friends.

I hope my comment in some way help you to decide what path to choose.
